Product manager résumé: proving impact
Last updated 9 October 2026
Short answer. A product manager résumé should show the problems you chose to solve, the decisions you made and the outcomes they produced, with the scale of the product and team. "Owned the roadmap" says little; what changed for users and the business says a lot.
Bullets that work
- "Prioritised onboarding over new features after interviews showed drop-off; activation improved in the next quarter."
- "Led a team of six engineers and a designer to launch self-serve billing."
- "Killed a low-use feature, freeing a team for the integrations roadmap."
Show judgement
Product roles hire for decisions. Include at least one bullet where you chose not to do something.
Questions
How technical should a PM résumé be?
Match the posting; technical PM roles want evidence of working closely with engineering.
Should I include metrics I can't share?
Use relative or directional results instead of confidential numbers.
Conxto checks live postings against your résumé, tailors each application from your real experience and prepares the letter and answers. Copilot: you send it. Autopilot: it applies for you.
